Symptoms of Anxiety Attacks
Symptoms of Anxiety Attacks and How to Deal with Them
People are different from one another. Therefore, the type, frequency, and intensity of anxiety symptoms will vary according to one's personality, lifestyle, and health. A person may experience mild symptoms while another can suffer anxiety severity. There are also people who experience a combination of mild and severe. The symptoms of anxiety attack are usually associated with emotions such as fear and sadness. In other cases, the symptoms are associated with body functions such as sight, hearing, and touch.
Overcome his anxiety
A person can only overcome his anxiety and eliminate the symptoms altogether if he is willing to do so. If he decides that he no longer want to feel anxious all the time, then he will be able to live a normal life once again. To achieve this, he must take control of the situation. He can consult a physician or see a psychiatrist. He may also take prescriptive drugs if necessary. Nonetheless, medication is not always the best solution. Sometimes, all a person needs is a change of environment. He may also just needs to train his mind. For instance, if dealing with stubborn individuals makes him anxious, he can take a conflict resolution course to help him handle such situations. He can also go outside and relax for a while if he feels that his workplace is giving him stress.
Role-playing
In addition, he can change his thought process through role-playing. For instance, if he is anxious about an oncoming job interview, he can pretend that he is already being interviewed. He can role-play in front of the mirror and practice answering questions. This will help him get ready for the said event while boosting his social skills at the same time. Furthermore, he can modify his lifestyle. A lot of people become stressed because they lack relaxation and sufficient sleep. This is because they overwork themselves. So, in order to prevent anxiety attacks related to fatigue, one must take a day off and relax once in a while.
